This authentic Rolex dial was removed from an older two-tone model (most likely 16013) and is fully compatible with the Rolex Datejust 36mm, supporting both Caliber 3135 and Caliber 3035 movements.
I had never encountered this particular dial design before and was initially convinced it was just another counterfeit. However, after a thorough examination, I’m confident in its authenticity. First, the weight is consistent with genuine Rolex dials - counterfeit versions are typically much lighter and made from thinner metal. Second, the print quality is unmistakably authentic, with crisp detailing and precise alignment. There’s an engraving on the reverse side that closely resembles the style Rolex used in the early 1990s, further supporting its legitimacy. And finally the way the Arabic numerals are attached to the dial is unmistakably Rolex-style - aftermarket dials usually have the hour markers glued on.
